Reef Monitoring is a non-profit organization established in 2005 and is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. The purpose is combine marine scientists and educators with the general public in effort to watch over our invaluable natural and artificial reef.

Spearheaded the concept for Tampa Bay’s two largest educational marine aquariums: Clearwater Marine Science Center (now the Clearwater Marine Aquarium) and later the Florida Aquarium from its initial plan to architectural renderings. Developed job descriptions and assignments, and oversaw the work of 35 staff,+200 volunteers, and interns including promotions, necessary and available seminars, workshops, and training for staff to develop needed skills to enhance job performance and morale.   Initiated educational classes, summer camps, Marine Life Edventures (ecotourism) Festivals (Art for Animals, Tampa Bay Tour of Turtles and for 2010, Fins Across Florida, Romance with the Sea and more) and seminars still in use today, emphasizing conservation and recreational opportunities for students and residents. Managed and maintained 85 acres of nature preserves consisting of gulf beaches, sand dunes, seabird/sea turtle nesting, and estuaries (mangrove/sea grasses) nature trails, fishing piers and adjacent fresh water habitat with upland hardwood habitats & developed educational kiosks for nature trails. Developed the “Full Circle Program” an animal assisted therapy program for Special Needs Children
